New Year's Dedicated Youth Rider's 1 Day Clinic

Date: Thursday, January 3rd, 2019
Cost:
$25.00 deposit to hold your space
1/2 day morning session: $85
1/2 day afternoon session: $85
Full day session: $165

Location: CRE - Bozeman, MT

If this clinic fills up then we will look at scheduling a second session.
If weather is below 20 degrees during the day the clinic will be rescheduled to a later date. Refunds will be given if you cannot make the new date.

Prerequisties: (students must have their own horse or leased horse and should be comfortable at the walk, trot and canter)

Time Morning Session: 9-12:30pm Riding Speed Event Barrels and Poles Warm Up, stretches/exercises for horse and rider, pattern work on precision maneuvers.

Time Afternoon Session: (following lunch) 1:15-4pm Participants will discuss short and long term goals for both them and their horse/s. All participants will receive their own 12 month calendar, in which they will be able to write down goals/dates and decorate the months if they choose so. Following this session students will be able to make a competition timed run on barrels and poles, each run will be videoed. Participants will have a discussion and review of their runs at the end of the day, and will receive their video if they would like a copy of it.

Students should bring:Students that are staying all day will need to pack a lunch/snacks, water, Hot Water for hot chocolate or cyder will be provided. Students need to dress appropriately, it will be cold, so layers of clothing are recommended (warm socks, gloves, hat), we have helmets available if needed.



New Year's Youth General Horsemanship 1 Day Clinic

Date: Friday, January 4th, 2019
Cost:

1/2 day morning session: $100
1/2 day afternoon session: $25
Full day session: $115

Location: CRE - Bozeman, MT

Prerequisties: (students should be comfortable at the walk and trot)

Time Morning Session: 9-12:30pm Riding (English or Western), On the Ground Horsemanship (participants will learn about wintertime horse healthcare) and setting goals for the new year/craft session.

Time Afternoon Session: 1-4pm - Stable Hand program - This program will offer an inside look on the care and ownership of horses. There will be NO riding of horses and limited hands-on. Stable hands will learn how to feed depending on the horses' individual requirements, organize and clean tack & equipment, maintain and repair fencing and arenas, remove manure, and safe handling and proper use of ranch tools. There will be a strong emphasis of life skill development including responsibility, team work, communication, etc. Rubber boots and work gloves are recommended for participants.
