MSU IHSA Equestrian Team Competes at Utah State University

MSU students of IHSA Western Team Compete in IHSA competition over the weekend! Eleven students of Montana State University competed in International Collegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) competition held February 1 & 2nd and 8-9th, 2020 at Utah State University, in Logan. Students of the western riding IHSA team, coached by Amy Prechter owner of local area equestrian center, Cedar Ridge Equine, competed in six western horsemanship competitions to earn overall year end points. Four of these students (Mckenna Anders, Mckenzie Mork, Colby Bend and Alyssa Dennis) made their way into the regional round of competition held on Sunday February 9th. Anders and Mork finished with 4th place rides, Dennis with a 3rd and Bend with a 2nd, which advanced her to the Semi Finals which will be held in West Virginia March 21st, 2020. All team members did an outstanding job with their riding and came away with many ribbons. They truly are dedicated horsewomen, so proud of each and every one of them!
