2024 Overnight Horse Camps At CRE

A great opportunity for parents to take a night off and leave their horse crazy kid with us for a fun filled supervised horse and camping experience.

Overnight Speed Event Themed Camp Session 1
Instructor: Amy Prechter
Dates: June 27-28, 2024
Arrive at 9am on 27th and depart at 5pm on 28th.

Campers will spend time on the ground and in the saddle doing warm ups, techniques/styles and introduce new exercises and pattern work to help in their speed events on day 1 and on day 2 will participate in a review, followed by a fun friendly timed event competition. Each run will be videoed and available for campers to review and discuss with the instructor.  We will also spend time discussing participants goals and developing a plan to meet these goals in a fun equine guided learning & team building activity. Riders must be confident in their riding skills (walk, trot and lope/canter independently) and they should own their own horse/leased horse available, however there will be a limited number of lessons horses available for students with CRE instructor approval. Haul in horses welcome (please message us in advanced to make arrangements.  Campers will enjoy a visit from a local area equine veterinarian that will present information on equine first aid, followed by a question and answer session. We also be joined by local area Bozeman artist Allison McGree, who will join us and lead us in a step by step guided painting session. Each camper will take home their own equine themed, finished acrylic painting on stretched canvas. Campers will be in charge of taking care of their own/assigned horse both days including feeding, pen cleaning, evening checks etc. Evening activities will include dinner, horse movie on the big screen projector outside, country western line dancing lessons, s’mores and more.
Participants will receive a water bottle, sweatshirt and journal. Participants will need to pack a lunch the first day, we will provide dinner, breakfast, lunch the following day and snacks throughout the entire camp.

Cost: $875 per overnight camp session 1 only
Discounted price if participating in both session 1 and 2 $825

CRE Overnight Horse Camp 2-Trail/Ranch Themed

Dates: July 22-23, 2024
Arrive at 9am 22nd and depart at 5pm on 23rd. 
 
Campers will spend time on the ground developing and understanding the importance of groundwork with their horse and in the saddle doing warm ups, techniques/styles, and introduce new exercises/obstacles that they may encounter when out on the trail.  We will also spend time discussing participants goals and developing a plan to meet these goals in a fun equine guided learning & team building activity. Riders must be confident in their riding skills (walk, trot and lope/canter independently) and they should own their own horse/lease a horse, however their will be a limited number of lessons horses available for students with CRE instructor approval. Haul in horses are welcome, please reach out to us in advance for instructor approval and to make accommodation arrangements.  Campers will be in charge of taking care of their own/assigned horse both days including feeding, pen cleaning, evening checks etc. We will also have a visit from local area veterinarian to tell about the day in life of their job, as well as to answer any questions campers might have about being a veterinarian/horse related veterinary questions. The last few hours of the second day of camp after lunch campers will be able to have a relaxing fun afternoon enjoying a water slide from Big Time Inflatables. Evening activities will include dinner, horse movie on the big screen projector outside, country western line dancing lessons,  s’mores and more.
